These amplifier wiring guides will cover most amplifiers on the market today.

 

Be sure to follow the manufactures recommended wire gauge for each specific component, battery, speakers, etc..

Terminal view may vary from model to model

Depending on your model,

Terminal

1-2 or 3 may indicate

  • +

  • 12+

  • Batt

  • Battery

If you're amplifier uses a wire instead of a terminal screw  for power distribution wire will be with red

This terminal will go directly to the vehicles positive side of the battery

Make sure this wire is fuse  protected!

Depending on your model,

Terminal

1-2 or 3 may indicate

  • (-)

  • Ground

  • Gnd

  • negative

  • neg

If you're amplifier uses a wire instead of a terminal screw for power distribution wire will be black

This terminal should be connected to a good negative chassis ground.

Depending on your model,

Terminal

1-2 or 3 may indicate

  • Remote

  • Remote turn on

  • Amp turn on

If you're amplifier uses a wire instead of a terminal screw for power distribution:

it will be a small blue or orange wire

This terminal should be connected to the power antenna wire coming out of your radio. If your radio does have a power antenna wire,  it will be blue. If a remote wire is not available. You may use the vehicles accessory wire, which will be at the radio and will activate the amplifier each time the ignition is turned on.
